Botanical Illustration is a genre of art that endeavours to faithfully depict and represent the form, colour, character and detail of a plant, identifiable to species. During this 6 week fun and sun filled course we'll dive into the techniques and skills that are required to create a successful botanical illustration. Using a multi-media technique, Jenny will guide the class in understanding layering paint and coloured pencil to create a realistic image. This class will be specifically focused on local summer blooms. This course will be divided between in class time, as well as outdoor location sketching. Each student will receive a botanical illustration kit on the first day of class. The cost of which is included in the price of the class.
