Jenny Rome - Owner and Teacher

Expertise : Drawing & Painting
Jenny Rome is an artist, illustrator, and the founder of The Art House on London. Born and raised in Sarnia, Ontario, she graduated from OCAD University in Toronto with a BFA in 2009 and spent over a decade working as a professional illustrator.
In September 2024, Jenny opened The Art House on London—creating a welcoming, community-driven space for artists of all ages. Since then, she’s been busy teaching, building creative connections, and hiring the best darn staff a gal could ask for.
She’s deeply excited about what the future holds for The Art House and for Sarnia’s vibrant, growing arts community. When she’s not at the studio, Jenny is kept on her toes by her two young daughters, who make sure life stays busy, joyful, and creatively chaotic.

Ciara Roebuck - Teacher

Expertise : Acrylics & Art History

My journey as an artist began in childhood, where my passion and love for animals inspired my earliest drawings. I would spend hours looking through the nature books in my parent’s home, carefully replicating the animals. This flourished into a love for painting which would eventually lead to growth in both my creativity and technical skills as the years passed.

As a proud Anishinaabe artist today with a background in Art History, I specialize in acrylic realism paintings often focusing on the human form. Drawing inspiration not only from the natural world but also from the emotions and experiences that shape my life.

Kennady Rayn - Teacher

Expertise : Murals
Hello/Boozhoo everyone! I am the owner Seventh Rayn Design Co. I was born and raised in Corunna, Ontario and moved to the big city of Toronto to pursue my dream of creating art at the Ontario College of Art and Design University. I originally went into Drawing and Painting but switched into Indigenous Visual Culture in my second year to start my journey in reconnecting with my indigenous roots. My family is Mohawk from Six Nations Grand River Territory and Irish/Scottish. I ended up dropping out of art school in my third year and moving back home. I never would have thought I would be running my own art business one day as I thought my art career was over.
This company started as a way to solidify myself as a mural artist but has now turned into a platform for me to explore all styles of art that I love to create. I continue to try my best to incorporate my culture into my work as I navigate my connections between my mixed heritage. Eventually I am hoping to expand and have more artists join me in my company.
